The police have launched a fresh appeal to find the driver of a car which they believe was involved in a fatal hit and run in Sydney’s west yesterday.

The cyclist was knocked to the ground in the high impact collision and was dragged 50 meters down the road. Inspector Katie Orr from the Crash Investigation Unit said police weren’t sure why the driver didn’t stop to help.

“That’s why we are urging that driver to come forward,” she said.
